Bushfire smoke sets record for youngest global circumnavigation.

Statisticians from the World Sailing Speed Record Council have confirmed today that Australia's bushfire smoke has eclipsed the previous record for the youngest solo around the world trip.

The record was previously held by Laura Dekker who completed her journey at 16 years of age, after 518 days. The bushfire smoke has completed the trip across the world's oceans in just a matters of weeks and is less than 3 months old, with experts believing this record will likely not be beaten for many years to come.
