Knights games to go ahead with their usual crowd of less than 500.

"All other games are behind closed doors from next week," said NRL CEO Todd Greenberg.

"There's absolutely no chance that a Knights home game would get a crowd of more than 500 people, so we're confident that the NRL is taking the Coronavirus measures seriously," declared Greenberg.

As of Monday, events of more than 500 people are to be cancelled to help stop the spread of Coronavirus.

It is understood long-term Newcastle Knights fans would rather contract Coronavirus than see out another NRL season at McDonald Jones Stadium.

"Just end it now," said Knights fan since 1988, John Fellow. "This team is absolute dog shit and I've had enough. I'm old enough for this virus to put me out of my substantial misery."
