Labor targets net zero boomers by 2050
'We're not afraid of ambitious targets," said the Opposition Leader.
Labor outlined the plan in a Canberra press conference. Under the measure, boomers would be euthanised if they made the remarkable feat of living until 2050.
Political commentators say the target is hollow given that demographic ageing means that boomers will surely be dead by 2050 anyway.
Extinction Rebellion activitist agree, saying we need to get to net zero boomers by 2030 if life on this planet has any chance.
"We need real, ambitious targets," said Daria Lipsom, a Extinction Rebellion spokesperson.
"Labor aren't serious about boomer extermination. It's really disappointing because this is an environmental issue."
